DISNEY’S "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4" SET TO DEBUT
AS A DISNEY CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE IN 2010


East meets West in a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights, in "High School Musical 4,"


the fourth story in the celebrated franchise that became a cultural sensation, fueled unprecedented digital music downloads and underscored the strength of Disney Channel and Radio Disney’s connection to kids, tweens and families.


"High School Musical 4" brings the franchise back to television in a music and dance-filled Disney Channel Original Movie that will introduce a new cast of characters.

It is scheduled to begin production later this year for premiere on Disney Channel in 2010.

The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide.


Marsh said: "The 'High School Musical’ trilogy introduced a new generation to the celebrated genre of movie musicals. In crafting this next iteration, we've challenged the entire creative team to raise the bar again -- and create something truly worthy of this extraordinary global phenomenon."


The screenwriter of "High School Musical 4" is Peter Barsocchini who wrote each of the three movies in the franchise. Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush return as the executive producers.

HSM4 Different Storyline, New Characters.

Sources say that Matt Prokop will not be involved in High School Musical 4.
The 18-year-old actor posted a MySpace bulletin earlier today, saying,
“Not only will HSM4 not feature your loved wildcats: Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, and Taylor, but I will also not be apart of it. Disney decided to go with a completely different story line. I’m so thankful to be apart of HSM3 before they decided to change everything. Enjoy the new characters……. whoever they will be. Matt.”


Disney will start casting HSM4 in late summer 2009.

Rumor has it, High School Musical 4 is going in a completely different direction.
With 6 New Characters and here's the plot we have so far....




East Meets West, in this classic love story. East High collides with West High, when a singer from East High, and a singer from West High join together after realizing they both have a love for singing. They aren't supposed to be together.
It's a modern day Romeo and Juilet along with West Side Story.



WE HOPE ALL THE CAST FROM RECENT MOVIE WILL BE PART OF HSM 4 MOVIE.
